Is this for you?

People usually reach out when…

They want their wishes clear while they're well.

A parent's health has changed and the family needs a plan.

They want to leave stories, letters or recordings.

The end is near and everyone wants to be ready.

What I do

Practical help, and a steady presence.

A teapot and an open family photo album on a sunlit kitchen table.

Planning and legacy

Your wishes in writing, an advance care plan you understand, and stories, recipes and letters gathered for the people you love.

An older hand and a younger hand held together on a knitted blanket.

Companionship

Regular visits through illness: someone to talk to, think with, and lean on, so your family doesn't carry it all.

A candle and wildflowers in a window at dusk.

Support through the last days at home or in care, and the first hours and weeks after a death.

About Amara

I became a doula so families wouldn't decide everything in a hospital hallway.

For twelve years I worked the front desk of a palliative unit. I watched kind families make enormous decisions in a rush, and I knew there was a gentler way.

Now I sit at kitchen tables across Victoria, helping people say what they want while there's time, and staying close when the time comes.

“Amara got our whole family around one table, and somehow it was the best afternoon we'd had in months. Dad told stories we'd never heard.”
